Who is PROsPA
Producer Responsibility Organisations Packaging Alliance
PROsPA is an Alliance for cooperation and exchange between leading packaging recovery organisations (PRO) in Europe, operating in countries that together represent over 50% of the population and over 60% of GDP of the EU-28.
ARA, CITEO, Der Grüne Punkt, Sociedade Pontoverde, Rekopol, REPAK, and Valpak operate under the Extended Producer Responsability (EPR) principle in Austria, France, Germany, Portugal, Poland, Ireland and the United Kingdom respectively. All are members of PRO Europe sprl. The main task of PRO Europe’s members is to manage the efficient implementation of adequate national collection and recovery systems.
What do we do
We exchange closely with stakeholders along the value chain to better understand challenges towards a circular economy, find and implement practice-oriented solutions , promote common principles and provide support and know-how where needed.
We engage proactively in political debates at European and national level by providing expertise and data inform discussions on the further development of EPR legislation and a circular economy for packaging.
We support a constructive public dialogue between relevant stakeholders by organising events at EU level.
